How To Create A Keyboard Shortcut To Quickly Launch A Program

One of the better ways to improve your productivity at work is to use keyboard shortcuts. Most of the programs that are available today comes with keyboard shortcuts to access all features available in the particular program.

If you use several programs at work and want to quickly launch a program , the best way is to create a keyboard shortcut to launch the program. Sure, Windows 7 allows you pin programs to taskbar, but if you have a huge list of programs creating keyboard shortcuts will be a good idea.

 

In this guide we will show you how to launch a program with the help of keyboard shortcut:

1. Right-click on the program shortcut and select properties. Note that you can either right-click on desktop shortcut or Start menu shortcut of a program.

2. Under the Shortcut tab, next to the Shortcut key box, press your own shortcut keys to launch the program.

3. Click Apply button to save the shortcut keys.

 

4. Press the keyboard shortcut to launch the program.
