How To Enable or Disable Windows 7 Glass Aero Transparency Feature
Windows aero transparency, also known as glass effect, which was introduced with the Windows Vista gives a new fresh look to your desktop. In order to enable Windows Aero Glass Transparency effect on your machine, your machine should have enough graphics power.

If your system meets Windows 7 Aero minimum hardware requirements, then the default Aero theme will be activated with transparency (glass) effects. If you would like to disable the transparency effect, you can follow the steps given below:
1. Right-click on Desktop and select Personalize.
2. In Personalization window, click on Windows color link or button located at the bottom to open Window Color and Appearance.

3. To disable transparency (glass effect) just uncheck the box named Enable transparency. And to enable the same, just check Enable transparency box.

4. Click on the Save changes button and exit the window.
5. That’s it.
